Church Foot Rest
On our next day there we were riding the bus to head back over to the falls and we saw this catholic church now Matt happens to be catholic so he wanted to go check it out. So we got off on the bus stop and headed over. They were getting ready to do a benediction so Matt wanted to hear it so we went in. Now I am mormon and do not know the services of a catholic church so we go inside and we sit down at the pews. At the bottom of the pews is this little bench, being mormon we do not have this in our churches and I thought looks like they have a foot rest to help you get a little more comfortable because the benches are hard as hell and not comfortable at all. So I am resting my feet on the foot rest and Matt says to me that's not a foot rest it's the bench you pull out so when you kneel down to pray you have something to kneel on. I of course took my feet off so I wouldn't be disrespectful but we laughed about it for quite awhile.

Maid of the Mist
Maid of the Mist
Our first day there we decided to do the usual touristy stuff so that included a trip on the Maid of the Mist which is a boat that takes you up close to the falls and then they have another tour the Cave of the Winds where you actually get to walk down through these tunnels that go underneath the waterfalls and then you come out on to the Hurricane Deck where you are mere feet from the thundering falls it's so awesome to be right up next to the falls. Luckily for us they provide the raincoats because you do wind up getting wet and the Cave of the Winds tour actually gives you raincoats and these disposable sandals that you wear that are made so that one your shoes don't get wet and two so you don't slip on the walkways.
Standing near the falls before we walk down
On the maid of the mist don't you love the raincoats
