Turtles

Since the turtles were right by the starfish we decided to check these out too. We had been to SeaWorld last year so we weren't really in a hurry to go to all the shows so we spent a lot of time just looking at the exhibits you miss while you are watching all the shows and don't have time to just relax.

This was where I stopped taking pictures we still wound up doing a ton of other things I just don't have any other pictures.

Starfish

We decided to check out some starfish while we were there. I love that you can pick them up and touch them. It would be better if they had more things you could do this with.

Dolphin Encounter

We went over to the Dolphin Encounter to see if we could get any of the Dolphins to come up to us. Although they swam by us a lot none of them came up close enough for us to touch.

We went to the new Dolphin show Blue Horizons we did not like the show. It focuses way to much on people doing acrobats and you barley see any of the Dolphins anymore. So while this show is here it will be on our do not watch list.

Shamu Close Up

Matt's kids came down for half the summer so we decided to take them up to SeaWorld for the day. It was a cold day so we decided to start off with the Shamu Close Up which is where you go below and you get to see the Whales swimming around. It's pretty cool to see them up close. I love when you get to see a Whale right behind you and I got a shot with the girls and a Whale it was awesome.

Homecoming

Yay the day has finally arrived for Matt to come home from Afghanistan. It's been 7 long months and some sad times but the best part is he is arriving home safe and sound. Matt is supposed to arrive back around 1pm so I am excited. He has his cell phone with him so he calls me when they are almost there and he lets me know there are three buses and he is on the second bus and what happens is the buses go into a fenced area the guys unload all their gear and weapons check their weapons in and then they come out of the gates to be with their families so I do have to wait while he gets this taken care of.

Once he comes out of the gate he is carrying all of his gear with him so we make our way down to the car so he can put it all up and then we spend a few minutes together just holding each other after the long months of being apart. It's great that he is home safe and sound and now we head to our hotel for the night till we get to go home the next day.

Here is the first bus

The next bus is the one Matt is onMatt walking out of the gates with all of his stuff

Earthquake

So it's Easter and today I had to work. While I am at work we start to have an earthquake at first I think no big deal we have been having small ones all week well this was not the same as before in fact it was a 7.2 earthquake. Now while going through this earthquake I was not scared at all it was just kind of like all wells here we go again and once the shaking quits we make sure no one is hurt and then we go outside in case of after shocks so nothing falls on us. Because of all the after shocks we have to wait before we are cleared to go back into our building so me and my coworkers sit around waiting and while we do this we eat some banana cream pie and water none of us can leave because our keys are inside so this helps to make the time go by fast.

After about 2 hours of waiting we manage to get back inside just to get personal stuff and then we are cleared to leave. So I go home to check out the damage there. Luckily everything is ok some stuff has fallen down and the water from our water cooler spilled water on the floor and ruined a few books but other then that no real damage which is great.

Like I said going through the 7.2 earthquake was no big deal right however because of all the aftershocks that happen afterwards it does kind of freak you out thinking what if it's an even bigger one so I am up and down all night wondering if this will happen but so far everything is ok.
